Every product is labelled Live, Controlled pilot or Beta. A pilot is not described as generally available, and a beta is not presented as complete.
Product standards
Commitments should change what a product is allowed to claim.
These are the standards Berlvis can describe and inspect today. They do not imply a certification, a large security department or a mature compliance programme.
Separate available work from planned work
Product pages distinguish what a user can do now, what is still being proven, and what the product explicitly does not claim.
Preserve important history
Where a record matters, corrections should remain visible instead of silently rewriting the past. The exact implementation depends on the product.
Collect only what the product needs
A field or account requirement should exist because the product needs it, not because more data may become useful later.
Publish limits beside benefits
Local processing, tenancy records and credential generation each carry direct limitations. Those limitations are part of the product description.
Date public claims
Stage, evidence and current focus are checked against the product record and carry a visible verification date.
